GradePilot is a simple weighted grade calculator for students. This policy explains what information may be entered or collected when you use the app, in plain language.
1. Information you enter
GradePilot lets you enter the following voluntarily:
- Assignment, exam, quiz, project, lab, course, class, or module names.
- Numeric grades or scores.
- Numeric weighting values.
- Saved calculation names, such as a class or module label.
This information is used to calculate your weighted grade averages and to let you save calculations for later.
2. Saved calculations
Saved calculations are stored on your device so you can reopen and edit them later. GradePilot does not require an account to use saved calculations.
You can delete saved calculations from inside the app. You can also remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device or clearing app data where your device allows it. If the app is uninstalled or local app storage is cleared, saved calculations may be removed from the device.
3. Crash and diagnostic information
GradePilot may collect basic crash and diagnostic information through Sentry when something goes wrong in the app. This information helps identify bugs and improve reliability.
Diagnostic information may include technical details such as:
- Crash reports and error logs.
- Device type or model.
- Operating system version.
- App version.
- Other basic technical details needed to diagnose stability problems.
4. Third-party services
GradePilot uses Sentry to help monitor crashes and errors. Sentry may process diagnostic information according to its own privacy practices.

5. How information is used

- Crash and diagnostic information is used to diagnose errors, fix bugs, and improve app reliability.
6. What GradePilot does not require
- No account.
- No school login or school portal connection.
- No student ID.
- No connection to an official school or university gradebook.
GradePilot is a planning and calculation tool, not an official source of grades.
7. Your choices
- Edit rows and saved calculations at any time.
- Delete saved calculations inside the app.
- Clear the current calculation and start fresh.
- Remove locally stored app data by deleting the app or clearing app data where your device allows it.
- Contact support with privacy questions.
Saved calculations remain on your device until you delete them, delete the app, or clear local app data. Crash and diagnostic information is handled through the diagnostic service used by the app.
8. Children and students
GradePilot is intended as a simple grade calculation tool. It does not require an account and does not ask users to provide student IDs, school credentials, or other sensitive school account information.
